An air filter is a device consisting of fibrous or porous materials which removes solid particulates such as dust, pollen, mold and bacteria from the air. Filters containing an adsorbent or catalyst such as charcoal (carbon) may also remove odors and gaseous pollutants. Air filters are usually used in places where air quality is important, especially in building ventilation systems and in engines. Some buildings and other human-made environments use foam, pleated paper, or spun fiberglass filter elements. Another method, air ionizers, uses fibers or elements with a static electric charge, which attracts dust particles. The air intakes of internal combustion engines and air compressors tend to use either paper, foam, or cotton filters.

Our project, the green building at 41 Thao Dien (LATS), Ho Chi Minh city has been progressing nicely. To reach that “green” standard, MEC’s engineers has worked truly hard to install highly qualified air filters . For this project, MEC provided 4 units which were imported from Switzerland, good specifications and had full quality certifications. Up to this point, 2 units has been installed and the others will be set in March, 2019. Since MEC’s engineers are all experienced and well trained, the project is developing smoothly. Beside LATS building, MEC has participated in many other projects with severe standards.
