Big C supermarkets operating under the model of “Trade Center” or “Hypermarket” is a modern retail business that is being implemented in many countries in the world including Vietnam. Big C Vietnam’s predecessor was Cora supermarket chain, under the management of Bourbon Group (France). In 1998, Bourbon opened the first supermarket in Vietnam with French style in Dong Nai, named Cora. Until 2003, its name was officially changed to Big C – owned by Casino Group.
